About
Ms. Dustin Weeks has over 15 years of experience, including investor relations, international investment banking, trading and corporate finance. Before founding ForeSight Consulting in 2001, she was Director of Investor Relations for a technology company that was valued at half a billion dollars. She completely revamped the investor relations program and increased analyst coverage. She was also the Director of Investor Relations and Treasury Operations at a wireless telecommunications start-up where she started the investor relations program from nothing and was part of the executive management team that raised $25M.
She knows first hand what investors look for in a company from the initial meeting because she has participated in every stage of a company from idea inception to becoming a publicly traded company.
Prior to her career in investor relations, Ms. Weeks worked in investment banking and corporate finance. Her professional experience reaches beyond the United States where she has worked in investment banking for Danske Bank in Copenhagen, Denmark and as a Currency Trader for Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt, Germany. She has been involved with IPOS's, Mergers and Acquisitions in a variety of areas from technology to telecommunications to natural resources. Her banking expertise has been leveraged at both private and public companies, where she advised management on international expansion efforts.
Ms. Weeks has also advised private and public management teams on strategic financing alternatives including bridge loans, share repurchases, mergers and acquisitions, as well as provided corporate finance services for companies such as Hewlett Packard.
Ms. Weeks started her career in finance on The Chicago Board of Trade exchange floor while working in fixed income instruments. She was responsible for executing multi-million dollar trades for institutional clients on a daily basis.
She is a frequent contributor to the Software Development Forum News, and has also written articles for the Investor Relations Quarterly. Her writings have been used as part of the course materials in the University of San Francisco's Graduate School of Business Program. She is the author of Lessons From a Recovering Worker Bee.
She has her B.S. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has earned a certificate in Western and Eastern Europe: Institutions and Corporate Governance from the WHU Koblenz School of Corporate Management in Koblenz, Germany.
Ms. Weeks is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and is a NIRI Silicon Valley Board member.
